This blog post follows on from my previous blog post looking at the 1940′s Wartime Weekend on the East Lancashire Railway.
This event was held over The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Weekend, so there was a massive influence of Union Jacks, along with red, white and blue throughout Ramsbottom. Many Union Jack Flags were flying high as above.

Also, the ladies fashion I found really interesting, combining red, white and blue, without seeming to clash

This fabulous blue and red dress, accompanied with a red tied shrug cardigan, blue hat and white gloves, captured in a Street Photography style. All the ladies were dressed to the nines and such a brilliant scene to jump into. I am already looking forward to any more 1940′s Wartime Weekend the East Lancashire Railway is doing, and taking plenty more photographs as my mind is buzzing with plenty ideas!
